Do you ever feel there's never quite enough? Not enough time, not enough money, not enough energy, not enough opportunity And sometimes perhaps you feel as though you're not enough either When you're living with anxiety, it's very easy to become focused on everything that's missing from your life Everything you haven't achieved, everything you haven't got, and everything that you think you should have been doing differently Now what if just for the next 10 minutes we changed where we placed our attention What if instead of focusing on what's missing we began noticing what's already there? Welcome to calming anxiety, I'm Martin and today we're exploring manifesting abundance Using powerful positive affirmations, gratitude and a calmer or hopeful mindset Now let's be clear about something Manifesting abundance isn't about saying a few magic words and expecting money and success to appear It's about developing an abundance mindset, learning to recognize opportunities, appreciate the good things already in your life And approach tomorrow with a little more confidence than you had yesterday And if you'd like a calm place to return to each day, my anchored app there whenever you need it Find it in the show notes, there's a link and if you want to remove all the adverts and have full access to books at bedtime For only 5.99 a month, you get all of that and so much more Now let's begin Today find your quiet place, somewhere comfy, your favourite chair resting on a bed or simply taking a few quiet moments away from the demands of the day Allow your shoulders to relax Let your jaws soften And if it feels comfortable turn your hands so that your palms are facing upwards Imagine that you're no longer holding on to quite so much, so tightly There is nothing you need to chase right now, there is nothing you need to prove No way you need to be Let's breathe in gently through the nose for a count of four and then out the six Ready? Breathe in two three four Release two three more five six As a former paramedic, I saw how stress and anxiety could affect people's breathing Sometimes when we're worried, our breaths become shorter and shallower without us even noticing Taking a little time to breathe slowly and comfortably can help us begin to feel more settled So let's do that together again Ready my friend? Breathe in two three four Breathe out two three four five six in two three four Release two three four five six Just soften just a little bit more and then once more with me Breathe in two three four Relax two three four five six Now continue breathing at a pace that builds natural and comfy just for you And as you breathe, I'd like you to imagine that you're standing on a beautiful quiet beach The morning sun is beginning to rise The sky is soft with gentle colors and the air feels fresh against the skin on your face Ahead of you, the sea stretches all the way to the horizon And you can hear the gentle rhythm of the waves moving towards the shore Imagine watching the tide come in slowly naturally For the water moves across the sand filling the little hollows and spaces left behind by the previous tide There is no hurry no struggle just the steady movement of the sea As you breathe in imagine the same gentle feeling of possibility moving through you A sense that life can still surprise you That opportunities can still appear That there are good things you haven't experienced yet Breathe in Then breathe out And as you breathe out imagine releasing some of the thoughts that have been weighing you down The worry that you're falling behind the fear that everyone else is doing better The feeling that there will never be enough time enough happiness or enough opportunity Allow those thoughts to soften Relax Unwind and in this moment of peace and tranquility Visualize these beautiful words and repeat I notice and appreciate the good things already present in my life I am open to new opportunities and willing to recognize them There is room in my life behind this happiness and possibility I practice gratitude with the small things that make each day meaningful I take positive steps towards the life I want to create Wonderful Let those words settle Feel them come back to one that meant the most to you at any point in the day Now feel your breathing once more with your beautiful mind And on every out breath release and relax and open your mind to the small miracle That surround all of us each and every day And before we finish to bring a little bit more gratitude and positivity into your day Here are three daily caring tips one notice three good things While you're brushing your teeth making a cup of tea or getting ready for bed Think of three things you appreciate today They can be tiny a warm drink a friendly smile or a moment of peace Two Stay open to one small opportunity Today look for one opportunity to do something positive Perhaps it's starting a conversation trying something new or taking the first steps towards a goal you've been putting off You don't need to change your whole life just take one step Three Remember that joy doesn't always cost money If you catch yourself thinking you can't afford to enjoy life Look for one simple pleasure that's freely available A walk outside your favorite music A conversation with someone you care about Just give yourself permission to enjoy it Now begin to return and bring your attention back to the room around you Notice the surface beneath you gently wiggle your fingers and toes Take one comfy breath in And as you let it go Roll the shoulders and stretch out the arms And when you're ready Open your eyes And take this thought with you Abundance isn't always about having more Sometimes it's about noticing more recognizing the kindness around you And appreciating the moments that matter You don't need to have everything big it out today Just keep your mind open to the possibility that good things can still happen If this meditation helps you feel a little more hopeful Please share it with someone who might need the same reminder You can find my free daily calming tips at calminganxiety.org/carm And also about my new project If you're on Apple phone and you're trying to get your health back in order I'm now testing out the new app It's called Thole THOL There is a link to test it on Apple in their test flight software It's absolutely free It's there so that if you enjoy it You could just let me know how it could be improved Thank you The links in the show notes If you want to see what it's about Head over to Thole.app And just have a look what's coming It should be out sometime in December Have a lovely day my friend Truly sending you a hug Take care And remember especially to yourself Be kind
