Everyone else seems to have the map, the job that fits, the person beside them, the home, the plan, the quiet certainty. And you're standing at the same crossroads that you were standing at last year, wondering how everyone got so far ahead while you were just trying to keep up. My friend, I want to tell you something true, you are not behind, there is no race, there is no finish line that everyone but you can see, there is only your own life unfolding at its own honest pace. Today, we set down the measuring stick, this is a meditation when you feel like the only one who hasn't got it together.

Welcome, this is calming anxiety, I'm your host Martin, clinical hypnotherapist, former paramedic, comparison is one of the quietest thieves I know, truly. It steals a perfectly good life by holding it up next to someone who else's highlight real is awesome. And here's the thing, most of what you're comparing yourself to isn't even real. It's a feed, a curated window, the best two seconds of someone's whole week.

When I built Anchored the app, I made one firm decision. Anchored has no feed, no likes, no numbers, no strangers appearing to do better than you. It's one app on your phone that never asks you to measure up. It simply asks, how are you?

So find your quiet place today. Somewhere relaxing where you won't be disturbed and will steady you with box breathing today. Here's the one science line, by making your in breath your whole, your out breath all the same, you're sending a signal to your nervous system, a message it cannot argue with. You are safe and you are in control.

So picture a square, four equal walls and we'll trace it together. Ready? With me. Breathe in, two, three, four, hold, two, three, four, breathe out, two, three, four, hold, two, three, four.

That's one box complete. Just draw the next one. 관심isoot Ready? Breathe in 2 3 4 Hold 2 3 4 Breathe out 2 3 4 Rest 2 3 4 Relax now One more time around the square Breathe in 2 3 4 Hold 2 3 4 Relax 2 3 4 Rest 2 3 4 Now let the box dissolve Let your breath go loose and easy once more Did you feel it? The four steady walls around you Nothing rushing in No where you have to go Just feel that sense of unwinding With every outwrap Reach out with your thoughts Feel your breath Feel your breath Feel your breath Feel your breath Feel your body With your mind And love all that you are For all that you are Be proud of even the small moments of success Now within this moment Allow a warm golden light to rise From the floor beneath you Maybe amber It's slow, like sunlight moving up a wall At the end of the day Let it fill you From your feet to the crown of your head And as it rises Feel the comparing, the counting, the not enough Feel it lift away Like early morning mist And then in the beauty of your thoughts Say these words with me softly In your own voice I am not behind I am exactly where my life is I am not behind I am exactly where my life is Another person's chapter 20 is not my chapter 5 I am enough at this pace On this ordinary day I am enough at this pace On this ordinary day I let go of the race That no one is actually running I let go of the race That no one is actually running I am safe I am safe I am here There is nothing to fear right now My worth was never a number A milestone or a moment I think I missed I am allowed to be a work in progress And still be home There is nothing to prove no one to catch up to Relax now Ever deeper Imagine your soul safe and secure You are home You are home And you are worthy Just you Breathing Here And that is enough And to help you grow To help you find balance and self-worth in all that you do Here are your three daily caring tips One When you catch yourself comparing gently ask Whose life am I actually measuring?

And do I even know the whole of it? Two Write down one thing you did today That your youngest self would be proud of How ever small it seems Three Take a short break from the feed today Even one single hour And notice how much quieter your mind becomes Now softly, gently Let's come back into the room now Wiggle your fingers and your toes Feel the ground holding you up Steadiest the four walls Breathe in, hold And as you exhale stretch out the muscles in your arms and legs Roll your shoulders And open your eyes whenever you are ready You are not late You are not lacking You are on your own road If this brought you some quiet Come and find the Anchored app Follow the box breathing there Create your own moment of magic The one place on your phone with no feed No numbers nothing to measure up to Just sessions like this one Whenever you need them And if someone you love has been feeling left behind Why not share this episode with them Remind them they are not the only one None of us are Your pace is your right pace my friend I'm Martin I'll be here again with you again tomorrow So in all that you do Smile Positiveity as often as you can And then to your beautiful self Be kind
